In high school, I used to joke to my sister and my friend Yeong Fatt that Darren Shan, a 12 book fantasy epic about vampires which were one of our favourite reads, would one day grace the big screen.
Five years on, Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant is a movie adaptation of the novel’s first three books, dubbed ‘Vampire Blood’.
The movie makes me wanna read those books again =)
